If I have one more wedding dream in which I am about to marry someone I would never even date in real life and then back out of the wedding at the last minute, I'm going to lash out irrationally. :)
Any Josephs out there want to practice their dream interpretation skills?

Yesterday, I was driving from Austin to Waco with my best friend, Renee. Throughout the car ride, we discussed where we both are in life right now. I mentioned my fears about entering a doctoral program with so little knowledge of the field I am pursuing. Renee spoke of worries regarding leaving her home in Waco and starting life in the "real world." We both expressed frustrations about recent relationships that fell apart or ended unexpectedly. As we talked, I looked out the car window and saw a perfect rainbow in the Texas sky, a complete semi-circle of colors framing the dark clouds above us. We sat in silence for a minute reflecting on the promises of God. No matter what stage of life we're in or what minor annoyances come our way, that rainbow was an answer to our conversation: Our God is trustworthy and He always keeps His promises.

Are things up in the air in your life, too? Look up--a rainbow may be trying to peek through the storm clouds, reminding you to trust in the only One who will never let you down.

This is a pictorial representation of one of the many bizarre things happening in my life this week. Word to the wise: never date an aggie!
